Determined to Succeed is the Scottish Government's strategy for enterprise in education. The key strands include enterprising teaching and learning, entrepreneurial learning, work-based vocational learning and career education. To establish a link between the school and FE sector, Development Officers have been appointed to work with DtS to forge links and share practice across both sectors.
The event will be a mix of presentations, workshops, case studies and discussion to help to identify effective practice to improve enterprise in education.
The main activities of the day include:
- guide to Enterprise Self Assessment Tool
- enterprise in education video case studies
- introduction to the development officers - enterprise roles
- employer engagement, embedding enterprise in the curriculum, building capacity and enhancing our international profile.
In addition there will be networking opportunities and an opportunity to create an individual action plan to aid the delivery of enterprise.
After this event...
After this event delegates will be able to:
- use the Enterprise Self Assessment Tool
- access the enterprise in education video case studies
- understand how the development officers can support them in delivering enterprise in education
- create individual action plans.
Delegates will also have had an opportunity to share best practice with others.
