Summary
The focus of this event is the impact and changes on college accounts on IFRS. Don Peebles, CIPFA Policy and Technical Manager, will provide a training session on IFRS which will include:
- background to IFRS
- IFRS technical details
- practical advice
- explore what other sectors have done.
An update presented by Martin Smith from Scottish Funding Council will be given on student funding and bursaries.
The event will be rounded off with a session on the use of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) in management by Audrey Millar, Assistant Principal, Stow College.
Aims
To provide senior college finance staff with up to date training on key issues associated with their roles, as well as an opportunity to meet and network with colleagues across the sector.
